Dr Andrew Ward was not only a cofounder of IntelliDesign, he was a brilliant engineer, a generous mentor, and a tireless innovator. His passion for learning, creativity, and supporting the next generation of engineers has left a lasting mark on all of us. 

In memory of Andrew, we have established the Andrew Ward Education and Research Fund (AWERF) a tribute that reflects his values, vision and enduring commitment to education and innovation.

About the Fund

The AWERF has been created to provide meaningful support to current or future IntelliDesign staff, associates or partners through scholarships. These may be used for: 

– Education expenses

– Training materials or tools

– Research project costs

– Career development in engineering and research

Andrew’s Story

Andrew Ward was one of Australia’s finest scholars and a true inspiration to the team at IntelliDesign. He was awarded two scholarships to Harvard University, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts followed by his PhD in Biomedical Engineering, a pioneering program at the time. His academic success was matched by his engineering leadership. As cofounder of IntelliDesign, Andrew helped shape one of Australia’s leading electronics design and manufacturing organisations. More that that, he was a trusted mentor to countless young engineers and designers, generous with his time, wisdom and encouragement.
